The VARGUS 021-07213 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for cutting internal NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads on a lathe or CNC turning center. Manufactured in the VRX grade with a PVD-applied AlTiN coating, this insert delivers hard, wear-resistant performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. It produces a 60-degree included angle thread profile at 14 threads per inch (TPI) and is configured for right-hand internal threading. The 1/4-inch inscribed circle (IC) and 0.1248-inch (3.17 mm) thickness place it in the standard 2IR insert family.
