The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCVB75216 is a Dash 216 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring rated for demanding sealing applications in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial fluid systems. It measures 1.125 inches inside diameter, 1.375 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross section. The compound carries a Shore A hardness of 75, placing it in the hard durometer range. Operating temperature spans -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it suitable for high-heat service points where standard Buna-N or EPDM compounds fall short. Licensed plumbers, HVAC techs, and mechanical contractors specify fluoroelastomer O-rings where petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, or elevated temperatures are present.
This O-ring is used in residential and commercial applications wherever a Dash 216 cross-section seal is required. Typical installations include refrigeration service valves, fuel oil systems, hydraulic fittings, pump housings, and high-temperature plumbing connections. Its low compression set and low gas permeability also make it suitable for vacuum service and compressed gas line fittings. The part ships in packages of 50, which suits service vans and shop stock replenishment.
Designed as a standard Dash 216 O-ring replacement compatible with petroleum products and applications requiring fluoroelastomer chemical resistance. Consult the equipment service manual to confirm Dash 216 groove dimensions before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanical contractor. De-energize the system and relieve all fluid and gas pressure before removing the existing O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible lubricant — do not use petroleum-based grease with fluoroelastomer compounds unless confirmed compatible. Inspect the groove for nicks or burrs before seating the new ring to avoid cutting the seal during assembly.
