The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70384 is a Dash 384 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications that demand resistance to high temperatures and petroleum-based fluids. It measures 15 inches inside diameter, 15.375 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches in cross-section thickness, with a round cross-section profile. The compound is rated at 70 Shore A hardness, placing it in the hard durometer range. Rated for service from -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F, it suits demanding industrial and fluid-handling environments where standard nitrile materials fall short. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians typically specify this size for large-bore flanges and equipment ports.
This O-ring is appropriate for large-diameter sealing applications in industrial plumbing, hydraulic systems, chemical processing equipment, and mechanical assemblies where exposure to petroleum products, fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is routine. The fluoroelastomer compound also supports vacuum service and low gas permeability requirements. The Dash 384 designation follows the AS568 O-ring standard, allowing direct cross-reference on engineering drawings and equipment service manuals. It is sold individually.
Designed as an AS568-standard Dash 384 O-ring replacement for large-bore sealing applications involving petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, and high-temperature service environments.
Shut down and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any O-ring seal. Inspect the gland groove for nicks, burrs, or corrosion that could damage the seating surface before installation. Use an O-ring compatible lubricant appropriate to the service fluid to ease installation and prevent rolling or pinching during assembly. Work performed on pressurized piping or mechanical systems should comply with applicable local plumbing and mechanical codes.
