The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70281 is a Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring sized at 15 inches inside diameter, 15.25 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross section. This is a Dash 281 standard O-ring rated at 70 Shore A hardness. It is suited for static and dynamic sealing applications across industrial, HVAC, plumbing, and fluid-system environments. The fluoroelastomer compound delivers low compression set, high temperature resistance up to 400 degrees F, and broad chemical compatibility. Plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers. Sold in a package of 2 rings per order.
This O-ring is used wherever a large-bore, petroleum-resistant seal is required. Typical applications include pump housings, large valve bonnets, flanged connections, and fluid-handling equipment exposed to petroleum-based media. The fluoroelastomer material also makes it suitable for vacuum service and environments requiring low gas permeability. It operates from -15 degrees F up to 400 degrees F, making it a reliable choice for high-temperature process piping, industrial machinery seals, and commercial HVAC system components that see elevated operating temperatures.
Compatible with petroleum products and a wide spectrum of chemical media. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service O-ring for large-bore sealing applications in industrial, plumbing, and fluid-system equipment where fluoroelastomer material is specified.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or industrial maintenance technicians. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing the old O-ring and seating the replacement. Inspect the groove for damage, burrs, or contamination before installation. Avoid twisting or overstretching the O-ring during placement, and do not use petroleum-based lubricants unless confirmed compatible with fluoroelastomer compounds.
