The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70252 is a Dash 252 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring with a round cross section, measuring 5.25 inches inside diameter, 5.5 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick. Viton compound provides high resistance to petroleum-based fluids, wide chemical compatibility, low compression set, and a working temperature range of -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F. This makes it well suited for demanding sealing applications in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial fluid systems where standard Buna-N would degrade. Each order unit contains a package of 5 rings. Installation is performed by licensed or journeyman-level tradespeople or mechanical technicians.
This O-ring is used in static or dynamic sealing applications where the media is petroleum-based fluid, fuel, hydraulic oil, or chemically aggressive fluid. The Viton compound is also rated for vacuum service and exhibits low gas permeability, making it appropriate for refrigerant-side sealing tasks and vacuum-hold checks during HVAC service. It is not FDA approved and is not intended for food-contact applications. The round cross section fits standard O-ring groove profiles machined to Dash 252 dimensional standards.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service-stock O-ring for any application requiring a Dash 252 dimensioned seal in fluoroelastomer, including petroleum fluid systems, hydraulic assemblies, and refrigerant-adjacent sealing points.
O-ring installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, plumber, or mechanical technician. Always depressurize, drain, or pump down the system and shut off all energy sources before breaking any joint. Inspect the mating groove for burrs, corrosion, or debris before seating the ring, and apply a compatible lubricant to ease installation and reduce risk of nicking the seal. Do not twist or roll the ring during installation.
