The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70177 is a Dash 177 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where high-temperature resistance and chemical compatibility are required. With a 9.5-inch inside diameter, 9.688-inch outside diameter, and 3/32-inch (0.0937-inch) cross-section thickness, this round cross-section ring seats reliably in standard Dash 177 grooves. The 70 durometer hardness rating places it in the hard range, minimizing compression set under sustained load. Operating range spans -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding thermal environments encountered in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial fluid systems.
This O-ring is suited for sealing petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic media, and refrigerant-adjacent applications where fluoroelastomer's broad chemical resistance is an advantage. It is commonly installed in pump housings, valve bodies, manifolds, and pipe flanges in both commercial and industrial settings. The Dash 177 designation follows standard AS568 sizing, allowing direct substitution wherever a Dash 177 groove is specified. Each package contains 2 rings. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance technicians working on fluid-handling equipment are the primary installers.
Designed as a standard Dash 177 O-ring replacement compatible with petroleum products and a wide spectrum of chemical media; suitable for any application calling for an AS568 Dash 177 fluoroelastomer seal with a 9.5-inch inside diameter and 3/32-inch cross-section.
Isolate and depressurize the system and shut off all fluid supply before removing the old seal. Inspect the groove for nicks, corrosion, or debris that could compromise the new O-ring seat. Lubricate the ring with a compatible fluid or grease before installation to prevent twisting or tearing during assembly. Follow applicable industry codes and the equipment manufacturer's torque specifications when reassembling flanges or caps.
