The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70159 is a Dash 159 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring with a round cross section, sold in a 2-piece package. It measures 5 inches inside diameter, 5.188 inches outside diameter, and 0.094 inches thick. Rated at 70 durometer hardness, this O-ring handles operating temperatures from -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F. Viton compound provides low compression set, good vacuum service capability, low gas permeability, and broad chemical compatibility. Licensed technicians and journeymen across HVAC, plumbing, hydraulics, and industrial trades use this O-ring for static and dynamic sealing applications where petroleum-based fluids or elevated temperatures are present.
This O-ring is suited for use in fuel systems, oil circuits, hydraulic assemblies, refrigerant service fittings, and high-temperature plumbing connections. Its fluoroelastomer compound makes it appropriate for environments where standard nitrile or EPDM rings would degrade prematurely due to chemical exposure or heat. Typical installations include pump seals, valve bonnets, flange faces, and threaded fitting seats in residential and commercial mechanical systems.
Designed as a standard Dash 159 O-ring replacement for any groove or port machined to Dash 159 dimensions in HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, or industrial equipment. Compatible with petroleum-based fluids and media where fluoroelastomer compound is specified. Not FDA approved — not intended for food-contact or potable-water applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the host system. Relieve all pressure and drain fluid from the circuit before removing the existing O-ring. Clean the groove thoroughly and inspect for burrs or damage before seating the new ring. Apply a thin film of compatible fluid or O-ring lubricant to ease installation and prevent nicking during assembly — avoid petroleum-based greases if the media is incompatible.
