The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70102 is a Dash 102 Viton fluoroelastomer O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid handling, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. It measures 1/16 inch inside diameter, 1/4 inch outside diameter, and 3/32 inch thick with a round cross section. The fluoroelastomer compound delivers high temperature resistance up to 400 degrees F and a low minimum working temperature of -15 degrees F. Its 70 Shore A hardness rating and low compression set make it well suited for demanding sealing environments. Sold in packs of 50, these O-rings are a standard stocking item for plumbing, HVAC, and industrial service work.
This O-ring is used wherever a Dash 102 sealing element is required in systems handling petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, fuels, or high-temperature gases. Common install scenarios include valve stem seals, fitting connections, pump housings, and refrigeration service fittings. The fluoroelastomer material also supports vacuum service and exhibits low gas permeability, making it appropriate for refrigerant-side connections and vacuum pump fittings. Typical users include HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals who service fluid or gas handling equipment.
Designed as a standard Dash 102 replacement O-ring for use with petroleum products and compatible fluid systems. Verify chemical compatibility with the specific media before installation. Not FDA approved for food-contact applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial mechanics during valve, fitting, or pump service. Always depressurize and isolate the system before replacing seals. Inspect the seating groove for nicks or corrosion before installing the new O-ring, and apply a compatible lubricant to ease seating and reduce the risk of tearing during assembly. Follow applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC for system-specific requirements.
