The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCU70012 is a Dash 012 polyurethane O-ring with a round cross section, sized at 0.375 inches inside diameter, 0.500 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring is classified as hard and is designed for static and dynamic sealing applications across plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems. Its polyurethane compound provides resistance to petroleum oils, hydrocarbon fuels, oxygen, ozone, and general weathering. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance technicians working with oil-based or fuel-based systems will find this seal well-suited to demanding service environments. Each package contains 10 O-rings.
This O-ring is appropriate for use in residential and commercial fluid-handling systems where petroleum oils or hydrocarbon fuels are present. Common applications include hydraulic fittings, pneumatic connectors, valve stems, and fuel-line connections. Its hard durometer rating makes it suitable for higher-pressure dynamic applications where softer compounds would deform under load. Note that this material is not recommended for use with acids, ketones, or chlorinated hydrocarbons. Some polyurethane compounds can also be sensitive to prolonged water and humidity exposure, so confirm compatibility with the service environment before installation.
Designed as a standard Dash 012 O-ring replacement for sealing applications involving petroleum oils and hydrocarbon fuels in plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems where polyurethane compounds are specified.
O-ring installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the sealing system being serviced. Depressurize and drain the system completely before replacing any O-ring seal. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for scoring or debris before fitting the new O-ring. Avoid twisting the O-ring during installation, and do not use petroleum-based lubricants unless confirmed compatible with polyurethane compounds.
