The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCTST225 is a Dash 225 O-ring made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), engineered for sealing applications that demand chemical resistance and wide temperature tolerance. With an inside diameter of 1.897 inches, an outside diameter of 2.135 inches, and a thickness of 0.0468 inches, this O-ring features a rectangular cross section and a medium durometer hardness rating of 55. It is rated for service from -65 degrees F to 500 degrees F. PTFE construction makes it well suited for aggressive fluid and chemical environments where elastomeric O-rings degrade. Licensed trades including plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance techs install this type of seal in valves, fittings, pumps, and fluid system components.
This O-ring is appropriate for residential and commercial applications involving plumbing, HVAC refrigerant circuits, chemical processing lines, and general fluid handling. The PTFE material resists petroleum-based fluids, solvents, acids, and high-temperature steam. It is commonly installed in valve bonnets, pump housings, threaded fittings, and manifold assemblies where a reliable static or low-motion seal is required. Packaged in quantities of 10 per pack with a minimum order quantity of 1 pack, this part is practical for both single-repair jobs and stocking applications.
Designed as a standard Dash 225 O-ring replacement for valves, pumps, fittings, and fluid system components requiring a PTFE rectangle-cross-section seal in that size class.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or industrial maintenance mechanic. Shut off fluid supply and depressurize the system fully before removing the old seal or disassembling any fitting. Seat the O-ring squarely in the groove without twisting or stretching; PTFE O-rings have less elasticity than rubber types and require careful placement. Follow applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for the system being serviced.
