The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCTST214 is a Dash 214 O-ring made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a high-performance fluoropolymer suited for demanding sealing applications. It measures 1.16 inches inside diameter, 1.254 inches outside diameter, and 0.048 inches thick with a rectangular cross section. The PTFE compound provides a wide service temperature range of -65 degrees F to 500 degrees F and carries a medium hardness rating at a Durometer of 55. These O-rings are supplied in a package quantity of 50 and are commonly installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals wherever reliable static or dynamic sealing is required in chemically aggressive or high-temperature environments.
This O-ring is appropriate for use in plumbing fittings, hydraulic systems, pneumatic assemblies, chemical process equipment, and HVAC refrigerant circuits where PTFE's broad chemical resistance and thermal stability offer advantages over standard nitrile or EPDM seals. The rectangular cross section provides consistent compression and contact area in grooved seat applications. Sold in a pack of 50, this SKU suits both single-repair jobs and bulk service-truck stocking.
Designed as a standard Dash 214 O-ring replacement for any application requiring a PTFE rectangular-section seal at 1.16 inches ID and 1.254 inches OD.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial mechanics. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing any existing seal and inspect the mating groove for nicks, corrosion, or dimensional damage before seating the new O-ring. PTFE O-rings generally do not require lubrication, but verify compatibility with system fluids before applying any thread compound or sealant. Follow applicable codes such as IPC or IFGC for piping systems and the equipment manufacturer's service procedure for torque and assembly sequence.
