The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCS70019 is a Dash 019 silicone O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications across a wide range of operating conditions. Measuring 0.801 inches inside diameter, 0.938 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick with a round cross section, this O-ring is molded from silicone compound rated at 70 Shore A hardness. It handles temperatures from -80 degrees F to 450 degrees F, making it a practical choice where wide thermal range and dry heat resistance are required. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors reach for silicone O-rings when standard Buna-N compounds fall short in high-heat or ozone-exposed environments.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial systems where exposure to heat, weather, and ozone is a concern. Typical applications include HVAC equipment fittings, plumbing connections, and fluid-handling assemblies that cycle through broad temperature swings. The silicone material provides good weather and ozone resistance. Note that oil resistance is limited, so this O-ring is not the first choice for petroleum-heavy hydraulic circuits. It ships in a package quantity of 50, suitable for stocking service trucks or shop inventory.
Designed as a standard Dash 019 O-ring replacement suitable for any groove dimensioned to the Dash 019 specification in HVAC, plumbing, and general fluid-handling equipment where silicone elastomer is the specified material.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or mechanical contractors. Always depressurize and de-energize the system before replacing O-rings, and flush or wipe the seating groove clean of debris and old sealant before installing the new ring. Do not stretch or roll the O-ring into the groove using sharp tools that may nick the sealing surface. Consult applicable IPC or IFGC code sections when servicing sealed gas or fluid connections to confirm elastomer material compatibility.
