The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCN70112 is a Dash 112 neoprene O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing systems. With a 0.5000-inch inside diameter, 0.6880-inch outside diameter, and a 0.0937-inch round cross section, this O-ring seats securely in standard Dash 112 grooves. Rated for a hardness of 70 Shore A, the neoprene compound offers moderate resistance to petroleum products, good ozone and weather resistance, and reliable compression set performance. Each order contains 100 O-rings. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers commonly source this size for refrigerant-side and general fluid sealing work.
This O-ring is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration service, including applications involving Freon-based refrigerants. The neoprene compound handles a working temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for both low-temperature refrigeration circuits and standard plumbing service conditions. It is also used in pool and irrigation system components where ozone and weather exposure are a factor. This part is sold in packs of 100, making it practical for service technicians who stock common O-ring sizes on their trucks.
Designed for use in standard Dash 112 O-ring grooves. Compatible with Freon-based refrigerants. Suitable for sealing applications where neoprene is an appropriate elastomer choice based on fluid and temperature conditions.
HVAC technicians and plumbers typically install O-rings of this type during component replacement or system service. Always depressurize and isolate the circuit before removing any fitting or component. Inspect the groove for nicks or corrosion before seating the new O-ring, and apply a compatible lubricant to ease installation and reduce the risk of pinching. Do not over-stretch the O-ring during installation, as this can reduce sealing effectiveness.
