The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90914 is a Dash 914 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) O-ring rated at 90 durometer hardness. It measures 1.47 inches inside diameter with a 0.116-inch cross-section and carries an extra-hard hardness rating. NBR is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in fluid sealing applications, delivering excellent resistance to petroleum products along with strong compression set performance and tear and abrasion resistance. This part is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system technicians, and mechanical trades in applications where reliable static or dynamic sealing against petroleum-based fluids is required.
This O-ring is suited for use in hydraulic systems, pneumatic assemblies, fuel handling equipment, and general industrial fluid systems where petroleum-based media is present. The SAE and MIL-Spec standards compliance makes it appropriate for both commercial and industrial service environments. The operating temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F covers most standard fluid system service conditions. Sold in packages of 100 units, making it practical for shop stock or service vehicle inventory.
Compatible with petroleum-based products including oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids. Not recommended for ozone, strong acids, ketones, esters, or chlorinated hydrocarbons. Store away from direct sunlight, motors, and other electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Installation is performed by qualified plumbers, hydraulic technicians, or mechanical trades following applicable service procedures. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing or installing O-rings to prevent fluid release injury. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid prior to installation to prevent pinching or tearing during seating. Inspect the gland groove for burrs or contamination before fitting the new seal.
