The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90445 is a Dash 445 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), one of the most widely used elastomers in fluid sealing applications. It measures 8 inches inside diameter, 8.5 inches outside diameter, and 0.25 inches thick with a round cross section. Rated at 90 durometer (extra hard), this O-ring delivers excellent compression set resistance along with strong tear and abrasion resistance. Its operating temperature range spans -40 to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and millwrights working on hydraulic or fluid-handling systems will recognize this as a standard SAE and MIL-Spec compliant sealing component.
This O-ring is suited for use in industrial fluid systems, hydraulic assemblies, and plumbing connections where a large-bore seal is required. Buna-N compound provides excellent resistance to petroleum-based products, making it appropriate for fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluid service. It is not recommended for use in ozone-rich environments or where direct sunlight exposure is unavoidable during storage. Typical applications include pump housings, valve bonnets, pipe flanges, and large-diameter fitting connections in commercial and industrial settings.
Compatible with petroleum products, oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service seal for large-bore hydraulic, plumbing, and industrial fluid-handling assemblies requiring a Dash 445 Buna-N O-ring. Not suitable for ozone-generating environments or direct sunlight storage.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or hydraulic system technicians. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing the old seal and installing the replacement. Inspect the mating groove for nicks, burrs, or corrosion that could compromise the seal. Avoid rolling or twisting the O-ring during installation, and do not store near motors or electrical equipment that may generate ozone prior to use.
