The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90436 is a Dash 436 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in sealing applications. It measures 5.875 inches inside diameter by 6.375 inches outside diameter with a 0.25-inch cross-section thickness and a 90 Shore A durometer rating, placing it in the extra-hard hardness range. The round cross-section profile delivers reliable compression set performance and strong resistance to tearing and abrasion. This O-ring is rated for continuous service from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F and is compatible with petroleum-based media. Plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this part in fluid and gas sealing applications where hydrocarbon resistance is required.
This O-ring suits static and low-cycle dynamic sealing applications in hydraulic systems, fuel systems, pneumatic fittings, and plumbing connections that contact petroleum-based fluids or oils. The Dash 436 sizing is a standard AS568 dimension used across a broad range of industrial, HVAC, and fluid-handling equipment. With SAE and MIL-Spec standards compliance, it is appropriate for both commercial and light industrial service environments. Sold in packages of 10, it is suited for stocking in shop or service truck inventory. This material should not be stored in direct sunlight or near motors and other electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Compatible with petroleum products including hydraulic oils, fuels, and lubricants. Designed as a standard Dash 436 O-ring replacement for static and dynamic sealing applications in hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and fluid-handling systems that require Buna-N elastomer.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or HVAC technicians as part of routine maintenance or seal replacement. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing the old O-ring. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for scoring or contamination before seating the new ring. Avoid stretching the O-ring beyond its natural diameter during installation, and do not use petroleum-incompatible lubricants on the sealing surfaces.
