The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90340 is a Dash 340 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications. This round cross-section O-ring measures 3.375 inches inside diameter, 3.75 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches in thickness. Rated at 90 Shore A durometer (Extra Hard), it delivers reliable compression set resistance and strong performance against petroleum-based fluids. Sold in a package quantity of 25, it is well suited for maintenance shops, service vans, and storeroom inventory replenishment. Licensed technicians and journeyman tradespeople working in HVAC, plumbing, and hydraulic systems regularly specify this size and material.
This O-ring is intended for static and dynamic sealing applications where contact with petroleum products is expected. The Buna-N compound provides excellent resistance to oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, and other petroleum-based media. The operating temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F covers most residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing service scenarios. Dash 340 sizing is a standard AS568 designation, making this ring a direct fit wherever that dash size is called out on equipment drawings or service documentation. The package quantity of 25 supports bulk service work and parts-room stocking.
Designed for use wherever an AS568 Dash 340 Buna-N O-ring is specified, including petroleum-fluid hydraulic systems, HVAC refrigerant fittings, plumbing valves, and general industrial sealing applications requiring a 3.375-inch inside diameter round cross-section seal. Not FDA approved; not intended for food-contact or potable-water applications without independent verification of code compliance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician following the equipment manufacturer's service documentation. Always de-energize, depressurize, and lock out the system before removing or replacing O-rings. Avoid rolling or twisting the ring during installation; use a compatible O-ring lubricant approved for the fluid media in the system. Do not store unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as this degrades Buna-N compound over time.
