The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90264 is a Dash 264 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N) O-ring sized at 7.5 inches inside diameter, 7.75 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross section. Rated at 90 durometer (extra hard), it delivers firm sealing pressure and strong resistance to compression set, making it well suited for static and dynamic sealing applications involving petroleum-based fluids. Licensed tradespeople in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance install this O-ring where reliable fluid containment and durometer consistency are required across a wide service temperature range.
This O-ring is designed for use in systems that handle petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, and similar media. Its Buna-N compound offers excellent resistance to oils, fuels, and greases encountered in commercial and industrial fluid-handling assemblies. The -40 to 250 degrees F service range covers most HVAC chillers, pump flanges, manifold covers, and pipe union connections found in both residential and commercial mechanical systems. Items are sold in packages of 10, making it practical for service vans or shop stock. The SAE and MIL-Spec compliance confirms dimensional and material consistency across production lots.
Compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic oils, and similar fluid media. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service seal for any application requiring a Dash 264 Buna-N O-ring with a 90 durometer hardness rating. Not recommended for use with ozone, strong oxidizing agents, ketones, esters, or other media incompatible with Nitrile rubber. Store away from direct sunlight, motors, and electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial mechanics typically install seals of this type. Before replacing an O-ring, shut off fluid flow and relieve system pressure completely to prevent injury and contamination. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease during installation to prevent tearing and ensure even seating in the groove. Inspect the seating groove for scoring or corrosion before installing the new seal.
