The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90226 is a Dash 226 Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) O-ring rated at 90 Shore A durometer for extra-hard sealing performance. It measures 2 inches inside diameter, 2.25 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches cross-section thickness. The black NBR compound delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, making it a standard choice across hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this O-ring wherever a reliable, oil-resistant static or dynamic seal is required. It carries SAE and MIL-Spec compliance and is sold in a pack of 50 units.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving petroleum products, hydraulic oils, fuels, and general-purpose sealing in plumbing valves, fittings, pump housings, and HVAC refrigerant circuits that use compatible elastomers. The -40 to 250 degrees F temperature range covers most ambient and moderate-temperature service environments. The 90 durometer rating makes this compound appropriate for higher-pressure applications where a softer O-ring would extrude or deform. Packaged in quantities of 50, it supports service fleets and shops that replace O-rings routinely during maintenance calls.
Designed as a standard Dash 226 O-ring replacement compatible with petroleum products and applications requiring Buna-N elastomer seals in SAE and MIL-Spec compliant assemblies.
Shut off all fluid pressure and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing O-rings. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease prior to seating to prevent nicking or twisting during installation. Avoid rolling or spiraling the O-ring into the groove; seat it flat and evenly. Do not store unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as ozone degrades NBR compound over time.
