The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90202 is a Dash 202 Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) O-ring rated at 90 durometer hardness, sold in a package of 50 pieces. It measures 0.25 inches inside diameter, 0.5 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross-section profile. The extra-hard 90-durometer rating provides strong resistance to compression set, tear, and abrasion. This O-ring is rated for service from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of fluid sealing applications in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Buna-N is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in the trade, valued for its compatibility with petroleum-based fluids and hydraulic oils.
This O-ring is used wherever a Dash 202 seal is required in petroleum-based fluid systems, pneumatic assemblies, hydraulic circuits, and general mechanical connections. Typical applications include refrigerant line fittings, compressor service ports, pump seals, valve stems, and plumbing connections. It is compatible with petroleum products and is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general mechanical trades. The black Buna-N material resists oils, fuels, and many common hydraulic fluids found in residential and commercial systems. Note that this compound should not be stored in direct sunlight or near motors or other electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based fluid systems. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service seal for any application requiring a Dash 202 O-ring in Buna-N material. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating environments or applications requiring FDA-approved elastomers.
O-rings of this type are installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical technicians during equipment servicing or assembly. Always depressurize and isolate the system before replacing any O-ring seal. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible lubricant prior to installation to prevent tearing during seating. Do not stretch the O-ring beyond its service limits or expose it to prolonged direct sunlight or ozone sources during storage.
