The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90162 is a Dash 162 O-ring made from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications. It measures 5.75 inches inside diameter, 5.938 inches outside diameter, and 0.094 inches thick with a round cross-section. Rated at 90 durometer (extra hard), it delivers excellent compression set, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. The operating temperature range spans -40 to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding environments. This O-ring is installed by plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals who work with petroleum-based fluid systems.
This O-ring is designed for use in applications involving petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, oils, and fuels. Its Buna-N compound provides excellent resistance to mineral oils, greases, and common industrial fluids. Typical installation scenarios include pump assemblies, valve bodies, hydraulic cylinders, compressor fittings, and pipe flange seals in both residential and commercial settings. Each package contains 25 O-rings with a minimum order quantity of 1 package, making it practical for stocking service vehicles or shop inventory.
Compatible with petroleum products, mineral oils, hydraulic fluids, greases, and fuels. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating environments, direct sunlight exposure, or near motors and electrical equipment that may produce ozone. Designed as a standard Dash 162 replacement O-ring for any application requiring this cross-sectional dimension.
O-ring installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician following applicable codes such as IPC or IFGC where fluid system connections are involved. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing the old O-ring. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for damage or contamination before seating the new O-ring. Apply a compatible lubricant during installation to prevent twisting or pinching of the ring in the groove.
