The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90123 is a Dash 123 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), one of the most widely used elastomers in fluid sealing applications. It measures 1.188 inches inside diameter, 1.375 inches outside diameter, and 0.094 inches thick with a round cross-section. Rated at 90 durometer (extra hard), this O-ring delivers excellent compression set resistance along with strong tear and abrasion resistance. The temperature range spans -40 to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of service conditions. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters install these in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid system assemblies.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, and fuels. Its Buna-N compound provides excellent resistance to petroleum products, which makes it a common choice in HVAC refrigerant line fittings, plumbing valves, hydraulic cylinders, and pump assemblies. The Dash 123 designation follows the AS568 standard sizing system, allowing straightforward cross-referencing across manufacturers and applications. It is sold in a package quantity of 50, well suited to contractors and service shops that maintain O-ring assortments for field repairs.
Compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic oils, and fuels. Not recommended for ozone-rich environments; store away from direct sunlight, electric motors, and other ozone-generating equipment. This O-ring is not FDA approved and should not be used in food-contact or potable water applications without verifying suitability.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system technicians. Depressurize and drain the system fully before replacing any O-ring to prevent fluid release or injury. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid prior to seating to reduce installation stress and prevent tearing. Inspect the mating groove for wear, burrs, or contamination before installing the new seal.
