The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90019 is a Dash 019 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N) O-ring used to create fluid-tight seals in plumbing, HVAC, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies. It measures 0.813 inches inside diameter, 0.938 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches in cross-section thickness. Rated at 90 durometer (extra hard), it provides excellent compression set resistance, along with strong tear and abrasion resistance. The operating temperature range spans -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of service environments. Buna-N is the most widely used O-ring elastomer due to its reliable performance with petroleum-based fluids. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians commonly install this type of seal during routine maintenance and component replacement.
This O-ring is suited for residential and light commercial applications where petroleum-based fluids, oils, fuels, or hydraulic media are present. It performs well in pump seals, valve stems, fittings, and fluid connectors. Sold in packages of 100, it is practical for service contractors stocking shop inventory or performing multi-unit repairs. It is not recommended for exposure to ozone sources such as electric motors, direct sunlight storage, or environments involving ozone-generating equipment. Applications must not involve media incompatible with Buna-N, such as ketones, esters, or certain synthetic fluids.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based hydraulic and lubricating fluids. Meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards. Not FDA approved. Should not be used with ozone-generating environments or stored near motors or direct sunlight. Verify media compatibility before installation in applications involving synthetic or non-petroleum fluids.
This O-ring is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system mechanics during valve, pump, or fitting service. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing existing seals. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating to prevent pinching or tearing during assembly. Inspect the seating groove for damage or debris before installation to ensure a proper seal.
