The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70MD261 is a Dash 261 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in industrial and mechanical sealing applications. It measures 6.734 inches inside diameter, 7 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick, with a round cross section and a Shore A hardness rating of 70. This O-ring delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set performance, and reliable tear and abrasion resistance. It is installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors as a static or dynamic face seal in fluid-handling systems operating between -40 degrees F and 250 degrees F.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant and oil circuits, hydraulic systems, and other assemblies where contact with petroleum products is expected. Its Buna-N construction makes it a standard replacement choice in pumps, valves, fittings, and pipe flanges across a broad range of trade and industrial service scenarios. The part is sold in packages of 2 and carries a Metal Detectable FDA additional designation, though it is not FDA approved for direct food contact use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement O-ring for Dash 261 groove dimensions in pumps, valves, flanges, and fluid-handling equipment where Buna-N material and petroleum product compatibility are required. Compatible with petroleum-based fluids. Not recommended for ozone-rich environments, direct sunlight exposure, or proximity to motors and other electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or mechanical contractors. Shut off fluid supply and relieve system pressure fully before removing the old O-ring or opening any fitting. Clean the groove of debris and inspect for wear or damage before seating the new O-ring. Avoid twisting or pinching the ring during installation, and do not store unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near ozone-generating equipment.
