The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70MD212 is a Dash 212 nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) O-ring with a 7/8 inch inner diameter, 1-1/8 inch outer diameter, and 1/8 inch cross-section thickness. It features a round cross-section profile and a Shore A hardness of 70, placing it in the hard hardness range. NBR is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in trade applications, offering excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set resistance, and good tear and abrasion resistance. This package contains 10 O-rings. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors install this type of seal in fluid-handling assemblies across residential and commercial systems.
This O-ring is suited for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing assemblies where petroleum product exposure is a factor. It performs across a service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for a wide range of heating, cooling, and fluid transfer applications. The Dash 212 designation is a standard AN/AS568 size, commonly found in fittings, valve bodies, pump housings, and pipe unions. NBR compound is not recommended for exposure to ozone-generating sources such as electric motors or direct sunlight during storage.
Designed as a standard AN/AS568 Dash 212 O-ring replacement compatible with petroleum-based fluid systems. Compatible materials include petroleum products as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified mechanical contractors. Always depressurize and de-energize the system before replacing O-rings in any fluid or refrigerant circuit. Clean the groove and mating surfaces before seating the O-ring, and avoid twisting or pinching the ring during installation. Do not store NBR O-rings near electric motors, ozone-generating equipment, or in direct sunlight, as ozone exposure degrades the elastomer.
