The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70MD202 is a Dash 202 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), the most widely used elastomer for sealing applications in fluid and pneumatic systems. It measures 0.25 inches inner diameter by 0.5 inches outer diameter with a 0.125-inch round cross-section thickness and a Shore A hardness of 70. NBR delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set performance, and reliable tear and abrasion resistance across a service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install these as face seals, static seals, and piston seals across a broad range of fluid-handling equipment.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant and oil circuits, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic assemblies where petroleum-based fluid compatibility is required. The black NBR compound performs reliably in static and low-dynamic sealing applications. Each package contains 25 O-rings, making this suitable for service technicians who replace seals at volume or stocking-level repairs. Avoid storing NBR O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and other electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as ozone exposure degrades the elastomer over time.
Designed as a standard Dash 202 O-ring replacement compatible with petroleum-based fluid systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel circuits. Not compatible with ozone, strong acids, ketones, esters, or halogenated hydrocarbons. Not FDA approved for food-contact applications.
Licensed plumbers and HVAC or industrial mechanics should depressurize and de-energize the system before replacing any O-ring seal. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or O-ring lubricant before installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Inspect the gland groove for burrs or corrosion that could damage the sealing surface. Follow applicable codes such as IPC or IFGC for plumbing and gas system sealing applications.
