The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70352 is a Dash 352 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) O-ring with a 4.875-inch inside diameter, 5.25-inch outside diameter, and 0.1875-inch cross-section thickness. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this round-cross-section O-ring is designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in systems that handle petroleum-based fluids. It is commonly installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial service professionals where reliable fluid sealing is required. The NBR compound delivers excellent resistance to petroleum products along with strong compression set and tear resistance.
This O-ring is suited for use in hydraulic systems, pneumatic assemblies, pumps, valves, and fluid fittings that contact petroleum-based media. It performs across a wide service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for both refrigeration-adjacent mechanical systems and general plumbing and industrial applications. The package contains 5 O-rings, which supports small-batch service calls or stocking for repeat maintenance tasks. Avoid storing unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as ozone exposure degrades NBR compounds.
Designed for sealing applications in systems handling petroleum products; compatible with hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-system components requiring a Dash 352 O-ring per SAE and MIL-Spec dimensional standards.
Installation is typically performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial mechanics during pump, valve, or fitting service. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing or installing O-rings. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating to prevent tearing during assembly. Do not use petroleum-incompatible lubricants, as they can cause NBR to swell and degrade the seal.
