The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70347 is a Dash 347 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in O-ring sealing applications. It measures 4.25 inches inside diameter by 4.625 inches outside diameter with a 0.1875-inch (3/16 inch) thick round cross section. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring delivers reliable sealing performance in petroleum-based fluid environments. It is suitable for applications requiring operation across a wide temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians regularly spec Buna-N O-rings for their excellent resistance to petroleum products, low compression set, and strong tear and abrasion resistance.
This O-ring is used in hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic fittings, pump housings, valve bodies, and pipe connections where petroleum-based fluids or lubricants are present. The Dash 347 designation follows standard AS568 sizing, making it straightforward to identify and cross-reference in MRO and service applications. It is appropriate for both industrial and commercial service environments. It meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it suitable for a range of regulated maintenance and repair applications. This item is sold in a package of 5.
Designed for use with petroleum-based products and fluids. Compatible with hydraulic systems, pneumatic assemblies, pump housings, and valve bodies where Buna-N elastomer is the specified sealing material. Not recommended for exposure to ozone, direct sunlight during storage, or proximity to ozone-generating electrical equipment.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system technicians. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing or installing O-rings to prevent injury and ensure proper seating. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible petroleum-based lubricant before installation to reduce the risk of tearing during assembly. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for burrs or damage before installing a new O-ring.
