The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70342 is a Dash 342 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR/Buna-N), one of the most widely used elastomers in fluid sealing applications. It measures 3.625 inches inside diameter, 4 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches (3/16 inches) thick with a round cross section. Rated at 70 durometer hardness, it delivers firm compression set resistance along with strong tear and abrasion resistance. The material offers excellent compatibility with petroleum-based fluids and lubricants. This O-ring is installed by plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and mechanical maintenance professionals across a broad range of industrial and trade applications.
This O-ring is suited for static and dynamic sealing applications where petroleum product exposure is expected. Typical uses include hydraulic fittings, pump housings, valve stems, and fluid line connections in commercial, industrial, and residential service environments. It conforms to SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it appropriate for both general trade work and specification-driven maintenance applications. The package quantity is 25 pieces per order, with a minimum order quantity of 1.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 342 NBR O-ring for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid sealing applications where Buna-N material is specified. Not FDA approved; not recommended for food-contact or ozone-heavy environments.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, hydraulic technicians, or qualified maintenance mechanics. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing or replacing O-rings. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible petroleum-based lubricant during installation to prevent tearing or twisting during seating. Avoid storing unused O-rings near motors, electrical equipment, or in direct sunlight, as ozone and UV exposure degrade NBR over time.
