The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70330 is a Dash 330 O-ring made from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR, also called Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications. It measures 2.125 inches inside diameter, 2.500 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick with a round cross section. Shore hardness is rated at 70, placing it in the hard hardness range. This O-ring delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids along with strong compression set resistance and good tear and abrasion resistance. It is installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals in a wide range of sealing applications.
This O-ring is suited for use in hydraulic systems, pneumatic assemblies, fuel and oil systems, and general-purpose plumbing and HVAC connections where petroleum product compatibility is required. Its temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F makes it appropriate for both indoor mechanical systems and moderate-temperature process equipment. The Dash 330 sizing designation follows AS568 standard nomenclature, making cross-referencing straightforward. It meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards. Sold in packages of 25 units.
Compatible with petroleum products including mineral oils, hydraulic fluids, and fuels. Not recommended for exposure to ozone, direct sunlight during storage, or proximity to motors and other electrical equipment that may generate ozone. Should not be used with strong acids, ketones, or ozone-generating environments.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified mechanical technicians depending on the application. Depressurize and de-energize the system fully before removing or installing O-rings. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or assembly lubricant prior to seating to reduce the risk of tearing during installation. Do not stretch or twist the O-ring excessively during installation, as this can compromise the sealing cross section.
