The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70209 is a Dash 209 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N) O-ring used to create static and dynamic seals in fluid and pneumatic systems. With an inside diameter of 0.688 inches, an outside diameter of 0.938 inches, and a thickness of 0.125 inches, this O-ring follows standard dash sizing for straightforward replacement and sourcing. The round cross-section and 70-durometer hardness provide reliable compression set resistance and dimensional stability under working loads. It is rated for service from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F and is compatible with petroleum-based fluids, making it one of the most commonly specified elastomers in the trade. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and equipment service techs regularly stock Buna-N O-rings for field repairs.
This O-ring is suited for use in HVAC refrigeration fittings, plumbing valves, hydraulic fittings, pneumatic connectors, and general mechanical assemblies where petroleum product compatibility is required. It meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards, supporting both commercial and military-grade maintenance applications. Sold in a package quantity of 100, it is practical for service fleets, shop stock, and high-volume repair operations. The black Buna-N construction resists tear and abrasion in demanding service environments.
Compatible with petroleum-based products and fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 209 O-ring replacement for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems requiring Buna-N elastomer seals.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or mechanical service professionals. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing or replacing O-rings to prevent injury or fluid release. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating to reduce the risk of twisting or tearing during assembly. Store unused O-rings away from direct sunlight, ozone sources, and electrical motors to maintain elastomer integrity.
