The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70205 is a Dash 205 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in fluid-sealing applications. It measures 0.438 inches inside diameter, 0.688 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick, with a round cross section and a durometer hardness of 70. The compound delivers excellent resistance to petroleum products along with strong compression set, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic technicians routinely install this type of seal in service valves, fittings, and fluid-system components.
This O-ring is suited for static and dynamic sealing applications where contact with petroleum-based fluids, oils, fuels, and hydraulic media is expected. It performs across a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for residential and light commercial HVAC service valves, plumbing fittings, pneumatic tooling, and general industrial equipment maintenance. It is sold in a package quantity of 100, making it practical for service fleets and shop stock. It is not FDA approved and should not be used in food-contact or medical applications.
Compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic oils, fuels, and similar media. Designed as a Dash 205 standard O-ring replacement for use in HVAC service valves, plumbing fittings, pneumatic components, and general industrial fluid-system assemblies requiring a 0.438-inch ID seal.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system technicians. Always depressurize and isolate the system before replacing any O-ring seal. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible lubricant prior to seating to prevent tearing during assembly. Do not store O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as this accelerates elastomer degradation.
