The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70131 is a Dash 131 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) O-ring sized at 1.6880 inches inside diameter, 1.8750 inches outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches thick with a round cross section. NBR, also known as Buna-N, is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in trade and industrial applications. It delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set performance, and solid tear and abrasion resistance. The 70-durometer hardness rating places it in the hard range, suited for dynamic and static sealing applications across HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, and fluid-handling systems. Each package contains 100 rings. Licensed trades and maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial systems where petroleum-based fluids, oils, or fuels are present. Typical applications include hydraulic fittings, fuel system connections, refrigerant service ports, and general plumbing seal points. Its operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F makes it appropriate for both low-temperature and moderate-heat environments. The Dash 131 designation is a standardized AS568 size reference used across HVAC, plumbing, and industrial fluid-system components. This ring meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based fluid systems. The Dash 131 designation follows the AS568 standard, making this ring a direct size-reference replacement wherever a Dash 131 O-ring is specified. Not recommended for exposure to ozone sources, direct sunlight during storage, or electrical equipment that generates ozone. Not FDA approved.
O-ring replacement is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or hydraulic system mechanics depending on the application. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing any fittings or seals. Inspect the mating groove for nicks, burrs, or debris before installing the new O-ring. Lightly lubricate the ring with a compatible fluid or grease prior to installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Do not store unused rings near motors, ozone-generating equipment, or in direct sunlight.
