The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70116 is a Dash 116 O-ring manufactured from Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber), the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications. It measures 0.750 inches inside diameter, 0.938 inches outside diameter, and 0.094 inches thick with a round cross section. Shore A hardness is rated at 70, placing it in the hard range for reliable compression set performance. This O-ring is sold in a package of 100 units, making it a practical stocking item for shops, service trucks, or maintenance operations. Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general maintenance trades working on fluid or pneumatic connections.
This O-ring is suited for use with petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oil, and similar media in both residential and light commercial applications. Typical install scenarios include valve stems, union fittings, pump housings, and threaded port connections where a Dash 116 size is called for. The Buna-N compound delivers excellent resistance to petroleum products along with strong tear and abrasion resistance, making it a reliable choice for high-cycle or high-wear sealing points. Avoid use in environments with ozone exposure, direct sunlight storage, or proximity to electrical equipment that generates ozone.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 116 O-ring replacement for any application requiring that AS568 dash size in a Buna-N elastomer. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating environments or direct sunlight exposure.
Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance mechanics typically install O-rings of this type. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing any fitting or valve that retains this seal. Inspect the groove or gland for damage, burrs, or contamination before installing the new O-ring. Do not use sharp tools to seat the O-ring, and apply a compatible lubricant to ease installation and reduce the risk of tearing.
