The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH2X14 is a round cross-section O-ring made from Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber), one of the most widely used elastomers in industrial and fluid-handling applications. It measures 14mm inside diameter, 18mm outside diameter, and 2mm thick. Hardness is rated at 70 Shore A, placing it in the hard range for reliable sealing under compression. This O-ring resists petroleum-based fluids, oils, and fuels, making it a standard choice for hydraulic systems, fuel lines, and pneumatic fittings. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial mechanics routinely specify Buna-N rings for these applications. Sold in packs of 100.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial fluid-handling and pneumatic assemblies where petroleum product exposure is expected. Typical installation scenarios include hydraulic cylinder end caps, valve stems, pump housings, and threaded pipe fittings. The operating temperature range runs from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, covering most ambient and elevated-temperature service conditions found in plumbing, HVAC refrigerant-adjacent assemblies, and light industrial equipment. It is not FDA approved and should not be used in food-grade or potable water contact applications without independent verification of suitability.
Compatible with petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, and fuels. Designed as a standard metric O-ring replacement for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-sealing applications requiring a 14mm ID, 18mm OD, 2mm cross-section Buna-N seal. Not compatible with ozone, sunlight exposure, or electrical equipment environments where ozone may be generated.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or industrial mechanics as part of valve, pump, or hydraulic assembly service. Always relieve system pressure and shut off fluid supply before replacing O-rings in any pressurized line. Avoid stretching the O-ring beyond its natural diameter during installation, and do not store unused rings in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as this degrades the elastomer over time.
