The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH2.5X15 is a round cross-section O-ring manufactured from Buna-N (nitrile butadiene rubber), one of the most widely used elastomers in fluid sealing applications. It measures 15 mm inside diameter by 20 mm outside diameter with a 2.5 mm cross-section thickness. The black Buna-N compound delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set performance, and solid tear and abrasion resistance. This O-ring is suitable for static and dynamic sealing tasks across HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance mechanics.
This O-ring is a fit for applications involving petroleum-based lubricants, hydraulic oils, fuels, and water. It is commonly used in valve stems, pump shafts, fittings, and fluid couplings in both residential and light commercial mechanical systems. A hardness rating of 70 Shore A makes it suitable for moderate-pressure sealing environments. Operating temperature range spans -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, covering most typical HVAC and plumbing service conditions. It meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards. Note: this part is not FDA approved and should not be used in food-contact or potable-water applications without confirming regulatory compliance.
Compatible with petroleum products including hydraulic oils, fuels, and lubricants. Not recommended for use with ozone, strong acids, ketones, esters, or chlorinated solvents. Store away from direct sunlight, motors, and other ozone-generating electrical equipment to prevent premature material degradation.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system mechanics. Shut off fluid supply and relieve system pressure fully before replacing any O-ring. Inspect the seating groove for burrs, scoring, or contamination before installing the new ring. Apply a compatible lubricant to the O-ring prior to installation to prevent twisting or damage during assembly; do not overstretch the ring during fitment.
