The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCFS008 is a Dash 008 fluorosilicone o-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where exposure to petroleum fuels, oils, and extreme temperatures is a concern. It measures 0.188 inches inside diameter, 0.312 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. Hardness is rated at 70 Shore A, which falls into the hard category. The blue color aids in visual identification on the bench or in the field. This o-ring is sold in a pack of 5.
Fluorosilicone o-rings are used in aerospace, aviation, and industrial applications where a seal must resist both fuel system fluids and wide temperature swings. Typical installations include fuel system fittings, diester-base lubricant circuits, and fluid handling connections requiring resistance up to 350 degrees F for diester lubricants or up to 400 degrees F for general high-temperature service. The low-temperature rating of -80 degrees F makes this o-ring suitable for cold-soak environments found in aircraft and outdoor industrial equipment. Due to limited abrasion and tensile strength, this material is best suited for low-movement or static sealing rather than high-cycle dynamic applications.
Compatible with petroleum products including oils and fuels. Suited for aerospace fuel systems and circuits using diester-base lubricants. Not FDA approved; not intended for food, beverage, or pharmaceutical contact applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed mechanics, HVAC technicians, or fluid system technicians depending on the application. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing or installing o-rings to prevent injury and contamination. Lubricate the o-ring with a compatible fluid prior to seating to reduce the risk of tearing during assembly. Avoid using sharp tools that could nick or cut the sealing surface.
