The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70236 is an EPDM O-ring with a round cross section, engineered for sealing applications that involve hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. It measures 3.25 inches inside diameter, 3.5 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick, corresponding to Dash 236 sizing. With a Shore A hardness of 70 and a rated temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F, this O-ring is suited for demanding fluid system service. Each package contains 25 pieces. Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals.
This O-ring is used in residential and commercial fluid systems where EPDM elastomer compatibility is required. It is specifically noted for excellent resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, making it appropriate for aerospace ground-support and aviation maintenance applications as well. It also sees common use in hot water heating systems, steam service applications, and phosphate ester type hydraulic circuits where standard nitrile or neoprene O-rings would degrade prematurely.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester fluid systems, including applications requiring resistance to Skydrol hydraulic fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. Designed as a Dash 236 standard O-ring replacement for any application requiring a 3.25-inch ID, 3.5-inch OD, 0.125-inch thick round-section seal in EPDM elastomer.
Shut down and depressurize the fluid system completely before removing or installing any O-ring. Inspect the seating groove for scoring, debris, or corrosion that could compromise the seal. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Installation should comply with applicable plumbing, mechanical, or hydraulic system codes for the jurisdiction and application.
