The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70226 is an EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) O-ring sized to the Dash 226 standard, with a 2-inch inside diameter, 2.25-inch outside diameter, and a cross-section thickness of 0.125 inches. The round cross-section profile seats consistently in standard groove geometries. Rated for a working temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F, this O-ring handles demanding thermal cycles common in plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic service applications. Shore A hardness is rated at 70, classifying it in the hard range. Sold in a package of 10, it suits technicians stocking a service kit or completing a multi-seal repair in a single visit.
This O-ring is suited for use in hot water lines, steam service, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid systems. Its EPDM compound delivers reliable sealing in residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating systems, and industrial fluid handling applications where water and steam compatibility is required. The material also provides excellent resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, making it appropriate for aviation maintenance as well. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals are the typical installers for this seal type.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid systems. Also rated for use with Skydrol fluids found in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. Designed as an OEM-style replacement seal for any application requiring a Dash 226 EPDM O-ring with a round cross-section.
Shut off fluid supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any O-ring seal. Clean the groove and mating surfaces of debris and old seal material before seating the new ring. Avoid rolling or twisting the O-ring during installation, as distortion reduces sealing effectiveness and service life. Installation should follow applicable plumbing, mechanical, or hydraulic system codes for the specific trade and jurisdiction.
