The compound is Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) with a Shore A hardness of 70, rated for service from -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. This o-ring is sold in a package of 100 units, making it practical for stocking maintenance kits or completing multi-point seal replacements in a single job. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance mechanics are the primary installers.

This o-ring is suited for hot water lines, steam systems, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids. Installation Notes

Shut off and fully depressurize the system before removing the old o-ring or disturbing any fittings. Clean the gland groove and mating surfaces of debris and old sealant before seating the new ring. Lubricate the o-ring with a compatible, system-appropriate lubricant — do not use petroleum-based grease with EPDM compound. Follow applicable plumbing or mechanical codes for the system type being serviced.
