The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70135 is a Dash 135 EPDM O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid handling systems. It measures 1.938 inches inside diameter, 2.125 inches outside diameter, and 0.094 inches thick. The compound is rated 70 Shore A hardness and carries a working temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. EPDM is the material of choice when the system media includes hot water, steam, or phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system technicians, and industrial maintenance mechanics install this O-ring as a replacement seal in fittings, valves, and manifold connections.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems handling hot water and steam, as well as industrial and aviation-adjacent hydraulic systems using phosphate ester fluids such as Skydrol-type formulations. The Dash 135 designation refers to the AS568 standard sizing, making it straightforward to cross-reference against existing maintenance bills of material. The package contains 50 pieces, making it practical for service stock or routine seal replacement programs where multiple units are serviced in a single work order.
Compatible sealing media include hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Designed as an AS568 Dash 135 OEM-style replacement O-ring for use in fittings, valves, and components requiring a 1.938-inch ID round-cross-section seal.
Depressurize and drain the system before removing any fitting or valve containing this O-ring. Inspect the groove for nicks, corrosion, or debris that could compromise the seal before installing the new O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a fluid compatible with EPDM compound — avoid petroleum-based greases, which degrade EPDM. Torque fasteners to the equipment manufacturer's specification; do not rely on over-tightening to compensate for a worn or incorrectly sized groove.
