The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70117 is an EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) O-ring with a round cross section, designed to provide reliable sealing in demanding fluid and thermal environments. Sized to Dash 117 standards, it measures 0.799 inches inside diameter and 1.000 inch outside diameter with a cross-section thickness of 0.0937 inches (nominally 3/32 inch). Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring handles a working temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. It is supplied in a package of 100 pieces, making it a practical stocking unit for plumbing shops, hydraulic service operations, and MRO supply rooms.
This O-ring is suited for use in systems handling hot water, steam, and phosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids. It also demonstrates excellent resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. Typical applications include residential and commercial plumbing seals, boiler system fittings, and industrial hydraulic circuits where EPDM compatibility with these specific fluid types is required. Technicians and pipefitters working on high-temperature water systems frequently select this dash size for standard fitting seal replacements.
Designed for use with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluid systems. Also recommended for applications involving Skydrol fluids found in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. Confirm fluid compatibility and fitting groove dimensions before installation.
O-rings of this type are installed by plumbers, pipefitters, hydraulic system technicians, and qualified MRO maintenance personnel. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing the old seal or installing the new one. Inspect the mating groove for burrs, surface damage, or old seal debris before seating the replacement. Apply a compatible lubricant to the O-ring during installation to prevent twisting or tearing during assembly.
