The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70045 is a Dash 045 EPDM O-ring with a round cross section, designed for sealing applications in plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic systems. It measures 4 inches inside diameter, 4.125 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. With a Shore A hardness rating of 70 (Hard), this O-ring maintains its seal across a wide service temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. Sold in a pack of 10, it suits shops and field techs who need spares on hand for recurring maintenance. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system mechanics are the primary installers.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving hot water lines, steam service, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids. It also carries a notable resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, making it useful across industrial and aviation-adjacent maintenance environments. The EPDM compound performs reliably in steam and hot-water distribution systems, expansion tank connections, and valve packing applications where synthetic rubber compatibility is required.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid systems. Also recommended for applications involving Skydrol fluids in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. Fits standard Dash 045 O-ring grooves calling for a 4-inch ID round cross section seal.
Power down or de-energize the system and fully relieve fluid pressure before removing any fitting, valve, or component containing an O-ring. Lubricate the O-ring with a fluid compatible with EPDM before seating it in the groove to prevent tearing during assembly. Plumbing work on steam or hot-water systems must comply with applicable local codes and ASME guidelines. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with EPDM O-rings, as they will cause the compound to swell and fail prematurely.
