The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70034 is a Dash 034 EPDM O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial fluid systems. Manufactured from Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) compound with a Shore A hardness of 70, this O-ring delivers reliable sealing performance across a wide service temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. The round cross section measures 2.125 inches inside diameter, 2.25 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. Each order ships in a pack of 40 units, making it practical for stocking service vehicles or shop inventory.
This O-ring is suited for use in hot water systems, steam lines, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid circuits. EPDM compound provides excellent resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, making it a crossover choice for both building mechanical systems and aerospace ground support applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance professionals commonly use Dash 034 O-rings as replacement seals in valves, fittings, pumps, and pressure connections where EPDM compatibility is required.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid systems. Suitable for applications requiring EPDM sealing material. Not FDA approved; confirm material suitability for any food-grade or potable water application before installation.
Plumbers and HVAC technicians install O-rings of this type when servicing valves, unions, pump housings, and threaded fittings. Depressurize and drain the system before removing any fitting or valve. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for scoring or debris before seating the new O-ring. Avoid using petroleum-based lubricants with EPDM material; use a compatible silicone or water-based lubricant to ease installation without degrading the compound.
