The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCA80220 is a Dash 220 Aflas O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in demanding chemical, refrigeration, and fluid-handling environments. It measures 1.375 inches inside diameter, 1.625 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick, with a round cross-section and a Shore A hardness of 80. The Aflas (TFE/P) compound delivers broad chemical resistance and a wide service temperature range of 25 to 450 degrees F. Licensed trades including HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial mechanics install this type of seal in systems where standard nitrile or EPDM compounds fail due to aggressive media or elevated temperatures.
This O-ring is suited for sealing refrigeration circuits, hydraulic systems, chemical processing lines, and brake fluid assemblies. Its Aflas compound offers moderate resistance to petroleum products along with good ozone and weather resistance, making it appropriate for both indoor mechanical equipment and outdoor-exposed systems. Typical applications include valve stems, pump shafts, flange connections, and fittings where Dash 220 dimensions are specified. Each package contains 6 pieces, and the minimum order quantity is 1.
Compatible with systems and media including acetic acid, animal oils, bases, brake fluids, fuels, and hydraulic oil. Aflas compound is particularly suited for refrigeration circuits handling Freon-type fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 220 O-ring for use wherever that dash size and an Aflas material specification are called out.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the system media and pressure rating. Depressurize and isolate the circuit before removing the old seal and seating the replacement. Inspect the groove for nicks or corrosion that could compromise the sealing surface. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid before installation to prevent tearing during assembly.
