The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCA80036 is an Aflas compound O-ring sized at 2.375 inches inside diameter and 2.5 inches outside diameter with a 0.0625-inch cross-section thickness, conforming to Dash 036 dimensions. Aflas is a fluoroelastomer material that handles extreme temperature swings and aggressive chemical environments where standard nitrile or EPDM seals fall short. This O-ring carries a Shore A hardness rating of 80, classifying it as a hard durometer seal suited for high-pressure dynamic and static sealing applications. Each package contains 4 O-rings. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals are the primary installers.
This O-ring is appropriate for use in systems handling refrigeration fluids including Freon-family refrigerants, hydraulic oils, brake fluids, fuels, acetic acid, animal oils, and base chemicals. The rated working temperature range spans 25 degrees F to 450 degrees F, making it suitable for both low-temperature refrigeration circuits and high-temperature fluid system applications in commercial and industrial settings. It is commonly installed in valve bodies, pump housings, fittings, and manifold connections where chemical compatibility and thermal stability are required.
Compatible with systems handling acetic acid, animal oils, bases, brake fluids, fuels, and hydraulic oil, as well as refrigeration fluids. Designed as a Dash 036 standard-dimension O-ring replacement for grooves requiring a 2.375-inch inside diameter seal.
Power down or depressurize the system fully and purge any residual refrigerant or fluid before removing the existing seal. Inspect the groove for scoring or contamination before seating the new O-ring. Lubricate with a compatible lubricant appropriate to the fluid being sealed; do not use petroleum-based lubricants with Aflas seals in applications where petroleum compatibility is marginal. Installation in refrigeration circuits should be performed by an EPA Section 608 certified technician.
