The VALUE COLLECTION ZLSNYD5-6 is a partially insulated locking fork terminal designed for crimp-style wire termination in electrical panels, control enclosures, and equipment wiring applications. It accepts wire sizes from 4.00 to 6.00 square millimeters and features a nylon insulation sleeve in yellow for quick visual identification. The fork-style tongue locks onto the stud to maintain contact even if the fastener loosens slightly. At 1.39 inches overall length and 0.472 inches fork width, this terminal is sized for a number 12 stud, equivalent to a 1/4-inch stud diameter. Electricians and panel technicians use this terminal where a secure, vibration-resistant connection is needed at a screw or stud termination point.
This terminal is suited for residential and light commercial electrical and control wiring where wire ranges of 4.00 to 6.00 sq mm are common. Typical applications include terminal block connections, motor control panels, HVAC equipment wiring, and machinery junction points. The yellow color coding aligns with standard color-coding conventions for wire gauge identification, helping technicians work efficiently during installation and service. The crimp connection method provides a gas-tight mechanical bond when installed with the correct die and crimping tool.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation locking fork terminal for use with number 12 or 1/4-inch studs and wire in the 4.00 to 6.00 sq mm range in standard electrical and control wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lockout the circuit before terminating or replacing any terminal. Use a calibrated crimping tool with the correct die for the wire size to achieve a proper gas-tight crimp. Do not over-strip wire insulation, and verify the fork seats fully on the stud before torquing the fastener.
