The VALUE COLLECTION WS-PE-MM2 is a non-contact infrared thermometer designed for measuring surface temperatures across a wide range of industrial and field service applications. It covers a measurement range of -50 to 380 degrees C (-58 to 716 degrees F), making it suitable for both sub-zero and high-heat environments. The unit uses a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio, which means it reads a 1-inch diameter target area from 12 inches away, allowing the technician to measure safely from a distance without direct contact. HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and refrigeration service professionals rely on this type of tool for quick, accurate surface temperature readings during diagnostics and commissioning.
The WS-PE-MM2 is well suited for residential and light commercial trade work. Common applications include checking supply and return air temperatures, verifying heat exchanger surface temps, scanning electrical panels for hot spots, inspecting pipe temperatures in plumbing and hydronic systems, and checking motor and compressor surface temperatures. The wide temperature range supports tasks ranging from freezer and refrigeration unit diagnostics at the cold end to high-temperature HVAC components and industrial surfaces at the upper end.
Designed as a general-purpose non-contact infrared thermometer suitable for HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and pool service diagnostics where surface temperature measurement is required.
No installation is required for this handheld diagnostic instrument. Licensed HVAC technicians, electricians, and plumbers use infrared thermometers as a non-invasive measurement tool during service and inspection. When scanning energized electrical panels or live HVAC equipment, follow appropriate safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment per NFPA 70E and applicable local codes. Keep the lens clean and free of condensation for accurate readings, particularly when moving between temperature-extreme environments.
