The VALUE COLLECTION W185F is a fine-grade mounted abrasive point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing work. Measuring 1/2 inch in diameter by 1/2 inch in length with a 1/8 inch shank, this mounted point is used with rotary tools, die grinders, and flex-shaft machines. The blue color coding indicates a fine abrasive grade, making it suited for finishing passes and light stock removal on metal and similar materials. At 0.08 pounds, the unit is lightweight and easy to handle during extended detail work. It is sold individually as a single unit.
Mounted points in this size and grade are commonly used by machinists, tool-and-die workers, maintenance technicians, and fabricators. Typical applications include internal bore finishing, weld cleanup, chamfering, and surface blending on metal components. The 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/8 inch configuration fits standard die grinder collets and is well suited to confined-space work where larger abrasives cannot reach. Both shop and field use are appropriate for this style of abrasive point.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard consumable for use with die grinders, rotary tools, and flex-shaft machines that accept a 1/8 inch shank mounted point.
Mounted points are installed by a machinist or technician using the appropriate collet on a die grinder or rotary tool. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from its air or electrical supply before changing abrasive points. Verify that the mounted point shank diameter matches the collet size before tightening. Always operate within the maximum RPM rating of the grinding tool and wear appropriate eye and face protection during use.
