The VALUE COLLECTION TEV80328 is a Dash 328 O-ring constructed with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) FEP encapsulation over a Viton or silicone elastomer core. This design combines the broad chemical resistance of solid PTFE with the compression recovery and elasticity of a Viton rubber core. The O-ring measures 1.875 inches inside diameter, 2.25 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick, with a round cross section. It is rated for service from -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F and carries a hardness rating of 80 Shore. Plumbers, industrial pipefitters, and HVAC technicians use this O-ring in fluid handling and sealing applications where aggressive chemicals or elevated temperatures would degrade standard rubber seals.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant system components, chemical transfer lines, and fluid control valve assemblies where a Dash 328 cross-section seal is required. The seamless, uniform FEP encapsulation completely encloses the core elastomer, making it appropriate for applications where metal or equipment surfaces contact chemically active media. It is sold individually and is a direct drop-in for any Dash 328 standard-dimension O-ring groove.
Designed as a replacement or service O-ring for any application requiring a Dash 328 standard O-ring with 1.875 inches inside diameter and 2.25 inches outside diameter in PTFE-encapsulated Viton construction.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing the old O-ring and installing the replacement. Inspect the mating groove and sealing surfaces for nicks, corrosion, or debris before seating the new O-ring. Avoid using petroleum-based lubricants on PTFE-encapsulated O-rings unless confirmed compatible with both the encapsulant and the system media.
